ESTABLISHMENT OF A MULTIDISCIPLINARY SCIENTIFIC NETWORK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF BIOMATERIALS
Project Summary
The main objective of the project is to establish, develop and operate an interregional scientific network of adjoining research entities, located at the universities of Patras and Bari, having complementary and cross fertilizing experience in the field of biomaterials and their applications. The network will combine already established techniques and develop new ones for the preparation and characterization of biomaterials used in medical devices and for the in vitro and in vivo evaluation of their performance according to ISO regulations. In addition, the network will take advantage and take a step forward existing long term collaborations between scientists and laboratories from the two neighboring regions.
