
Nikolaos Spiliopoulos
was born in
Patras, Greece in 1969. He received the B.Sci. in Physics from the University of
Patras, Greece in 1991. He joined Plasma Technology Lab. of the Chemical
Engineering Department (University of Patras) in 1991 as a PhD student. He
received his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering in 1997 entitled “Power
Consumption Study in Gaseous Glow Discharges and Application to Amorphous
Hydrogenated Silicon Deposition”. In 2000 he joined the Polymer Physics Lab.
of the Department of Physics and since then he is a PostDoc fellow and a regular
member of the group. He is an author and co-author of 15 publications in
international scientific journals and more than 25 announcements in
international and national conferences, while he has also participated in
several national and European scientific projects related to thin film solar
cells, surface and interface science, polymer physics. In November of 2009 he
was elected as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics - University of Patras in
the position entitled "Material Physics-Experimental". His main research
interests are focused on the Polymer Physics, Surface and Interface Physics,
Nanomaterials. From 2010 is also a Post Doc Fellow in the Plasma Technology
group.
